Rev. Colin Mutch
Senior Pastor
Colin has been Senior Pastor at Southside since 1998. Prior to that, he worked for 12 years as a Medical Sales Executive, combining a full time job with church leadership roles and a preaching ministry throughout Scotland. He trained at Glasgow Bible Training Institute (now ICC) and at the Scottish Baptist College and was previously Youth Pastor at Riverside Evangelical Church. He is Chairman of Touch The World UK, and a board member of Youth for Christ Scotland and Alpha Scotland.
Colin is married to Sheena and they have two grown up children, Ali and Louise and three grandchildren - Rebecca, Jessica and Oriana.
Ruth Hagan
Youth Worker
Ruth is our full time Youth Worker at Southside. She has been a member of SCF since 2003. Her passion has always been for the young people in the Church and she would see as part of her role to reach out and help build up these young people for Christ. She completed a training and discipleship year with University and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF) after university. This entailed supporting and encouraging several Christian Union groups in Edinburgh.
Ruth has a degree in Occupational Therapy and worked in this area for about 3 years, prior to becoming a staff member at SCF.
Danella Strachan
Church Administrator
Danella has been our Church Administrator since February 2004. One of her roles is collating and feeding information to people about the ongoing ministries at Southside. Danella works full time in the Church Office. She previously worked in administration in the financial services industry. Danella has been involved in Southside since its inception and is one of the founder members. She has a particular interest in youth work and is the veteran of several missions both in this country and abroad.
